Remember those plain yellow rain jackets that everyone wore back in the day? Don’t get me wrong they were cute but did not give you many fashionable options. Well, before the next rainfall, meet Kidorable. Kidorable offers children products that show off color, style AND function.
Kidorable was created in 1997 by Liping and Jonathan Domsky. Based in Chicago, Kidorable have proclaimed, “The world needs someone to create children’s apparel and accessories that are both functional and fun. We can do that.” Cecy and I feel that they have succeeded in their quest. Not only do they sell rain wear but Kidorable also features backpacks, knits, towels and more. And, as we discovered on their website, there is no shortage of styles. Insects, dinosaurs, mermaids and firemen are some of the themes. Do you have a girly girl in your life? She’ll love the English Roses series. This series was inspired by Madonna’s best selling children’s book.
We don’t get much rain in Southern California so rain storms tend to be breaking news. For the month of January, we’ve had nothing but rain! This was fortunate for us since the girls got to test out Kidorable products. Why not take advantage of puddle jumping and dodging raindrops in our new duds? Izzy received the Ladybug Rain Boots and she’s not only wearing them in the rain but wearing them daily to preschool. Cecy and Izzy love the bright colors and Izzy is convinced that they’re real lady bugs! They do have a realistic look to them. The boots are $29 and are made out of natural durable rubber. The boots are extremely soft. The smell, fresh out of the box, was a little overwhelming at first but it’s gotten better with wear. Cecy wants to remind you to keep the box to store the boots or used to store crayons or small toys.
Teagan received the Frog Umbrella. She uses the umbrella indoors (we’re not overly superstitious) and out . The umbrella is the perfect size for her little hands and we all love the big froggy eyes. The color is bright so we’ll never lose sight of her as she lovingly hops like a frog. The umbrella is 100% nylon and is $13.50. What do us moms love? Kidorable clothes and products inspire imaginative dress up time and play. As you can see the girls instantly switched into play mode: jumping, exploring and using their imaginations! Us moms also like that Kidorable products are easy to clean and care for.
