I Scream for (Plushie) Ice Cream

Meet Jane. Creator, designer and a one person production team, of janie xy. Before creating this adorable plush line, Jane thought long and hard about what to get her niece when she was born. She began to look for that perfect toy, but decided to design and create a doll for her niece to grow up loving. With no previous sewing experience, Jane woke up one morning and began to let her imagination run wild.

Tee & I met Jane at Unique L.A.’s winter show back in December. We were like two little kids in a candy store while standing in front of her booth. We were admiring her fruit basket. Yes, you got that right – from Tommie the plushie tomato to Fernando the plushie pear, these fruit assortments make you want to eat ‘em right up.

Jane was nice enough to send the I.T. girls their very own janie xy plushies. Tee and I were so thrilled the minute we got these “EXCLUSIVE”, I Scream (Plushie) for Ice Cream, first looks.

Irresistibly cute! Teagan thought it looked yummy enough to take a little bite and so did Izzy. Look at them go at it. Don’t worry, these plushies were not harmed in the making of this review nor will they melt. The design and stitching is impeccable. Teagan received a chocolate covered cone while Izzy enjoyed her fresa (strawberry in Spanish) scoop. Oh, let’s not forget that janie xy also offers, one of my favorite flavors, vanilla.
