Pregnancy tends to revolve around only the mom to be and baby. There are tons of books, blogs and support groups out there for the moms, but what about the dads? They need support, too. Especially while they’re trying their best to support the wives. Most dads want to do the right thing when it comes to their family. Sometimes their feelings/emotions get over looked. I don’t think it’s intentional. It seems the focus is always fixed on the mom and the new baby. Poor papas…until:
Happy Trails Set
New Dad Clothing Co. was founded in 2009 to celebrate the bond between modern day dads and their kids by sharing “Dad to Dad” advice in an online support forum. They also designed unique t-shirt sets that make being a dad the new fashion statement. The creators of New Dad Clothing Co. are a brewer, a tattoo artist, and an electrician. Their common goal was to reach out to the dads who need a place to go discover, discuss and vent. To create a resource that acknowledges their questions, fears and concerns. New Dad Clothing Co. is a place to commiserate. They offer a blog where you can find a man’s interpretation of morning sickness to informative stories about nipple confusion.
New Dad Clothing Co. offers father and kid t-shirt sets. The t-shirt styles are unique but recognizable and fun! I asked Jason, one of the dad owners, how the designs come to fruition. He told me that one of the owners comes up with an idea for the shirt. The Dad tattoo artist draws up the image for the theme. The image is scanned and printed to film. The color separations are printed by our old school printing press.
Sean and Teagan tested out the Mow Me Over set. The t-shirts are true to size. The colors are bright and the shirts are comfortable. Teagan loves the popper image. I’m sure every kid has a toy popper that he or she has enjoyed pushing and popping! It complements the dad shirt logo and really sparks conversation. Dads can talk with kids about chores as he sports his old school Side Wheel Lawnmower tee. My husband loved the caricature lawnmower image. Brought him back to the days of mowing lawns with everything from the pushing manual mowers to electric and even ride-on! Teagan’s going to love these stories.
