He’s Baa-aa-aack!  The beloved, award-winning Shaun the Sheep^™ returns for a brand new collection of barnyard adventures – and he’s not alone.  The six-episode collection, Shaun the Sheep: One Giant Leap for Lambkind, beams onto DVD June 8, 2010 from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment. Shaun and his pals will have close encounters of a different kind with old nemeses the Naughty Pigs as well new friends from a galaxy far, far away!  Five minute shorts of the series currently air in the U.S. on the Disney Channel. Fans can only find full length episodes on the DVDs.

Our Thoughts:

Shaun and the other sheep up to something but the flock always has each other’s back! Your family will love the short story lines, which are only about 5 minutes each. But don’t despair although short on time there’s no shortage of episodes full of mischief, laughter and adventure. Teagan laughed out loud when the aliens in the first episodes gave “raspberries”. I knew that this was a good sign. The new alien visitors give the sheep and the dog a run for their money. There are many loveable moments in each segment. It’s great to see more of the pigs and that giant clay bull is not happy! I love when the episodes end with a dance segment but 3 out of 4 of the episodes end with a quiet stare from Shaun the Sheep and friends. By the way, the farmer still is oblivious to the his animal’s antics. How do you cure sheep of the hiccups? Well, you’ll have to watch to find out!
