To infinity…and BEYOND! We recently received a Toy Story 3 Lego Duplo set for review. The set, called “The Great Train Chase”, also includes three popular characters—Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and Woody. The set also includes a cactus, cactus flowers, and some basic Lego Duplo building block pieces. This was our first exposure to the Lego Duplo line, and it was a great experience! Kieran was into using the enclosed directions to help her build the train set and using the box for ideas on how to build up the scenes. She could nearly put the train together herself by following the instructions included the first time, and had mastered it by the second time. I was amazed at how quickly she could reassemble the train when I would take it completely apart. She also used the blocks in a less conventional way by putting them in a line to pretend they were the railroad tracks. We both found it fun since it included the Toy Story characters, but I also like that it’s otherwise nondescript and could be just a Lego train set. It has already provided hours of entertainment in just the couple of weeks we’ve had it to review and has inspired quite a bit of creative play, too! The set is really durable, and will last until the time her little brother is able to play with it as well.
The recommend age for this product is 2-5 years. Lego Duplo products feature larger pieces than traditional Lego sets, which are ideal for smaller hands. This set can be purchased directly from the Lego Duplo Website or via amazon.com for $34.99. Other Lego DuploToy Story 3 sets are also available.

Legos are HUGE in my house. My toddler always has to have one or more “guys” in his hands. He carries them everywhere including into the tub. I’m sure he’d love this set!
