Tech Tuesday Review: Snugg iPad mini Leather Case Cover

I absolutely love my Snugg iPad mini Leather Case Cover and Flip Stand in orange! When it come to leather, my first choice in color is usually black. After checking out the Snugg website I noticed how nice the other colors looked online (14 colors in all). Upon delivery,  I could not believe how much nicer the orange leather looked in person! The orange leather of the Snugg iPad mini Leather Case Cover and Flip Stand is not obnoxious as is most colored leather products. It’s actually quite handsome and garners many compliments from my coworkers and friends. The Snugg iPad mini Leather Case Cover and Flip Stand in Orange has a nice feel to the material with the white stitching added as a nice complement.  I love the flip stand feature and the loop for my stylus or pen.  Any case adds some sort of heftiness or bulk to ...

Video Game Review DuckTales: Remastered #Giveaway

DuckTales: Remastered is an HD remake of Capcom’s original DuckTales video game released on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). This original was one of my favorite games that I remember playing on the NES back in the late 1980’s. It was also one of the few games I finished to completion. DuckTales follows the “Richest Duck in the World” and Donald Duck’s Uncle, Scrooge McDuck and his grandnephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, on a quest around the world to retrieve five legendary treasures. Travel from Duckburg to the Amazon, Transylvania, Africa, Himalayas and the Moon. You play as Scrooge McDuck armed with his trusty cane which he can swing to break objects or pogo bounce off enemies. The pogo bounce helps him reach areas that are out of reach and hazardous to walk on. There are treasure chests and various jewels to collect throughout the game, like diamonds and rubies, ...

Only in December! Motorola Baby Monitors Teams Up with Target #motorolababymonitor #sponsored

I can clearly recall the angst I felt about moving our baby out of our bedroom and into the room across the hall.  I felt as though that hallway was miles away, and I couldn’t shake the sadness and guilt. After putting it off for two weeks, we wheeled the crib into the baby’s room and carefully positioned the video monitor camera. I placed the video monitor on my night table and stared at it for an hour that night as  my little one played and then fell asleep.  The knowledge that I could simply turn over in bed and see my beautiful little baby peacefully sleeping in the video monitor screen gave me many better nights of  sleep.  Sometimes I would swear I heard fussing, but I’d look at the monitor and see a sleeping baby. The video monitor gave me even more peace of mind than an audio ...

Best Buy: Best Holiday Tech Gifts #OneBuyForAll #CBias #Shop

I’ve been shopping at Best Buy for years! Best Buy is one of my go-to sources for the best tech gifts and holiday stocking stuffers. A Best Buy showroom is an all -in-one gift center which makes shopping for multiple people a breeze. I tend to be a last minute shopper so shopping online isn’t always time effective and when it comes to tech products. I prefer to see them in person. On a recent shopping trip, I had a few goals- pick out a couple of gifts that included a gift card, research laptops and look at tablets for my daughter. Gift cards makes gift giving simple! A gift card eliminates the stress especially when you have a hard to shop for person on your list. Plus, gift cards make the perfect stocking stuffer. I purchased a $25 Best Buy gift card for a friend and crossed one of ...

Regular Show: Mordecai & Rigby in 8-Bit Land On Nintendo 3DS

Regular Show finally has a video game on the Nintendo 3DS – Regular Show: Mordecai & Rigby in 8-Bit Land is based on the popular animated series. It follows Mordecai & Rigby when they avoid their park chores to play an old game system. They get zapped into the game and must go through the various levels to get out. I could totally see this game storyline being an actual episode of the cartoon. You play as both Mordecai & Rigby, which you have to switch between to get through different level challenges. Mordecai is taller and can jump higher, while Rigby is shorter and can crawl through small spaces. Collecting floating cash or eliminating enemies gives you cash to play the bonus game at the end of the level. There are power ups (mullet), 1-ups and unlockable bonus content by collecting the hidden videocassettes. I attended the video game ...

Tech Tuesday: WordPlay by Muddyum – Games Your Teens Will Actually Play with You

It isn’t often that there’s an app game that the whole family can play. It’s even more rare that there’s one teenagers would be willing to play and play WITH their parents! I have found such an app game! It’s WordPlay by Muddyum, created by PicPocket Books’. The .99 app is exclusive to the Apple iPad and iPad mini. Although anyone from about age 6 on up into adulthood would enjoy the game, it geared a little more toward ages 13 and up because the app includes social media links for sharing achievements. These links are within the app and are accessed through separate buttons that don’t effect game play. The games are supposed to connect the visual and verbal parts of the brain by combining “found-object” images with common sayings and brain-teaser words. For instance, I’m kind of ashamed to say how long it took me to get the one pictured ...
